Description
West got together with big-name producers and other artists to create five seven-track albums. Ye and Kids See Ghosts were two of the projects released under Kanye’s name and label. The Ye vinyl sees guest appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Ty Dolla $ign, Kid Cudi, 070 Shake, and others. The album includes a lot of themes about West’s mental health. Coming off a psychotic episode in 2017 during The Life of Pablo tour, West fans speculated that most of the songs were about Kanye himself.
In Ghost Town, Kanye references the mental battles he is having with himself. In I Thought About Killing You, Kayne references both suicide and homicide. As somber as this album may be with tackling issues on mental health, the Ye vinyl creates an endlessly listenable collection of songs. It was met with a mixture of good and bad reviews. The album received an average score of 64/100, with most critics saying it felt unfinished. We don’t think that stops listeners from having a good experience. Songs such as Ghost Town and All Mine have been in rotation for us for the last few years, and we never get tired of them. For more information on the Ye vinyl, click here!
